About me
Karisa Schwanekamp is a Solutions Architect at MagicSchool, where she partners with school districts to implement AI tools that are practical, purposeful, and grounded in real classroom needs. A former educator of 21 years spanning special education, elementary education, STEM, and technology integration, Karisa brings a practitioner's lens to every partnership she supports. She was a 2025 ASU+GSV AI Innovator, Plainfield's 2023 Teacher of the Year, and a 2023 Indiana Top 10 Teacher of the Year finalist. Published by Edutopia and recognized as an Indiana University Jacobs Educator, she is passionate about helping educators adopt AI with intention and confidence.
