Steve Spradlin is the Chief Technology Officer for Muncie Community Schools and a K–12 technology leader with hands-on experience planning, deploying, and surviving large-scale infrastructure projects. He has led district-wide initiatives spanning phone systems, networking, safety integrations, and vendor wrangling—learning many lessons the hard way so others don’t have to. Steve focuses on translating complex technical decisions into practical, real-world outcomes, with an emphasis on reliability, total cost of ownership, and “the stuff no one puts in the proposal.” He believes the best tech stories come from projects that didn’t go exactly as planned.
